Just play calm and survive

When it comes to playing the levels your number one objective is to survive. You don’t need to take out all the enemies on the screen when it isn’t needed. It does help you get some points but when push comes to shove just make sure that you just survive. Don’t get greedy and go for multiple kills if it gets you killed in the process.

Pay attention to your ship

When you want to survive, this means you have to keep an eye on the bullets coming. Dodging is part of the game so you have to pay attention to the bullets and enemies coming in. You also need to pay attention to your ship as well. Taking a look at enemies is good but you need to focus more on your ship. You need to make it move to the direction that you need it to.

Maintain combos if you can

Whenever you kill an enemy you gain a combo booster. Basically you get a x2 when you kill two enemies and it increases up to x20. This feature will disappear if you get hit so avoid getting hit in the process. The good thing is that there is no time limit or the combo doesn’t disappear even if you don’t kill any enemy for a period of time. It does disappear after the level is finished. This goes back to our top tip where you shouldn’t risk getting more combos if you are on the verge of dying.

Use the Nukes

There will be clusters of enemies congregating in some point. In the middle of that cluster there is a nuke that would be growing. When you get the nuke it will explode getting rid of any enemies on the screen. This is a good thing to do when you’re surrounded. The best thing to do is to save that nuke for the right time. The problem is that those enemies will still be firing at you so take out the front ones to use the nuke.

The Black Box

When you use the Black Box it can give you some good ship items. When you mix four different kinds of parts, you get a different kind of item. If you use the same item for all four slots then that item comes back with a better quality. Use the Black Box when you can so that you can get parts and even improve some of them.
